St. Hilda’s has a great reputation, built over more than a century, for providing some of the best education in Liverpool, and, indeed, in the North West.  This is the result of the strong bond that exists between all members of the school family, all of us equally committed to ensuring the happiness, well being and fulfilment of every pupil.  The foundation of this bond is the Christian ethos of the school, creating a warmth and care which is commented on by almost all visitors to our buildings.

Fine reputations result from past success, but can only be maintained is a school is never satisfied that it has ‘done enough’. St. Hilda’s is always forward-thinking: proud of its past, but determined to be even better in the future. To this end, we maintain our buildings well, updating facilities and seeking to extend and adapt; we assimilate new technologies into classroom teaching and support systems; and we constantly review and improve our methods of monitoring progress and achievement.  In selecting a specialist status, we chose one which extends and expands the skills and aptitudes of pupils for all subjects, and have taken the phrase “an enterprising school” to heart.
